Let's face it - keeping track of all the passwords you use on a daily basis is a real hassle! Every website wants you to have a unique username and password, and we have all been told to use a different password at each site (for security reasons).
The problem is that we have a limited ability to remember usernames and passwords, so we either end up writing the information down, or using the same username and password at the sites we go to on a regular basis. Either of these methods present an opportunity for catastrophe. If someone finds our list then they have access to all of our secure sites, likewise if they get our single username/password combination they again have access to all of our information.
We have found (and use ourselves) a product called Roboform to resolve this issue. RoboForm does the following:
-
Remembers your passwords for you
-
Fills forms with one click
-
Encrypts your passwords to secure them
-
Can generate random passwords for you
-
Ensures your passwords get used on matching sites
-
Stops keyloggers because you are not typing
