We offer a free trial of the remote backup service to all of our potential customers. This allows you to try the system out and get to know how it works and just how much data storage you will really need. You can use the free trial in conjunction with your existing backup system during the trial period.
We charge based on actual storage used in our storage system, and you can't know how much space you need until you run a trial to see what kind of compression you get with your particular data. Since we charge based on the compressed sized of your data, you save money.
You will be allowed to store up to 25GB of data for 30 days for free during the trial period. The average client gets a 1:2 compression, so that means your should be able to get about 50GB of you data backed up during the trial period. The software also default to maintain 5 versions of each file automatically.
Make sure you keep track of the password you assign to each of your backups - we cannot recover the password and the data is encrypted with 448 bit blowfish encryption, so without the password your backups are useless as we cannot get to it either withour the password.
We suggest using your e-mail address for the machine name during your trial period to ensure you have a unique name for your machine. Thirty days ofter you initial backup is done the system will stop backing up data. You will have 30 day to decide if you wish to continue the services and fill out the appropriate paperwork (credit card authorization). If you decide not to continue with the service, your data will be automatically removed from our system and you will need to remove the software from your system.
